Dear Friends,
Before I begin, I wanted to dedicate this newsletter to my beloved father-in-law, Marty, who peacefully passed away on March 1st at the age of 81. He died as he lived, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Marty was one of my all-time biggest cheerleaders, and he liked to tell me that my work made him think about things he’d never really considered before. Among the many qualities that I loved about Marty was his willingness to consider new ideas and perspectives. We should all be a little more like Marty, and follow his example by keeping an open mind and heart. He is truly and deeply missed.
I know Marty would have been interested in this event, and I wanted to share it with all of you. On March 31st, I will be speaking at the 2023 Rutgers University Law Review Symposium, “Barriers to Innocence: Identifying, Investigating, and Undoing Wrongful Convictions, Current Issues in Law, Policy, Practice, and Science.” The lineup of speakers is extraordinary — I can’t wait to be a part of it. And you can too. The event is free without CLE credit — register by using the promo code NOCLE951 here: https://lnkd.in/e-465kgw.
I also wanted to share a clip of me …on Fox News, being interviewed by Josh Breslow for his show LiveNOW about Trump and the Stormy Daniels case. I get to share my opinion at the very end.
Please give your loved ones a hug in honor of Marty. I am sending you all a virtual one in his memory.
Take good care,
Jessica
